Objective
The objective of the project is to create a new typeface by physically or digitally transforming an existing typeface, and then use it to design a movie poster. The chosen movie for this project is 12 Angry Men, and the transformed typeface will be used to create movie trailers and posters.
Approach
To create a retro feel and convey the intense and cramped atmosphere of the jury room in the film, I photographed a scene that suggested a rough and noisy environment. I overlaid the paper and used LED lights from behind to create a distorted image. Finally, I added film noise and applied black-and-white film processing to create a background image that would suit the complex atmosphere of the film.
